Jacob Reynolds papers, 1791-1792.

Contract, 7 Oct. 1791, between Jacob Reynolds and Thomas Mulnick, by which Reynolds was employed to build a sailing vessel on "Bulls Island," [Charleston County, S.C.], scheduled for completion by May 1792; contract witnessed by Roger Pinckney. Also including affidavit, 26 Mar. 1792, of James Hamilton stating that during his stay on Bull Island, Reynolds "was incapacitated from working the greatest part of the time by sickness & drinking to excess."
